Interviewer: Owen tell me a little about yourself.Owen: My name is Owen I am 8 years old. I like video games, sports, and playing with my friends. I am from Washington State and moving to a little town in Mexico called Chacala. My family just a bought a house here in Chacala.
Interviewer: What is the house like?
Owen: The house is very little but fun. It is fun because we have cool stuff like the bathroom faucet and sink. We play Wii on a projector on the side of our house. Someday I would like to have a pool there.
Interviewer: When did you first come to Chacala?
Owen: I am not sure but I think 2 years ago.
Interviewer: Did you go to school that year?
Owen: No, I started school the second year I came to Chacala
Interviewer: Tell me about school in Mexico.
Owen: When I first went to school it was so scary. Then I met A kid named Ubaldo we became best amigos. A few days later I met A kid named Alexis we became really good amigos.Then A few days later I met my whole class they were really nice to me.
Interviewer: Was it scary the second time you started school
Owen: No. I was excited to see my friends and meet my new teacher.
Interviewer: What is a typical day at school like?
Owen: I walk to school from my house by myself. Once I get to school we have a morning recess until the bell rings. I study spanish in class. We are doing math it is times, plus, take away and division. We have lunch and we buy our own lunch from Sara. My favorite lunch is Tortas. They are very good. After lunch my friends and I go upstairs to the computer lab and play on the computers.
Interviewer: Does anyone speak English in your class?
Owen: Some of my friends speak english that I taught them. My teacher speaks a lot of English. Last year my teacher didn't speak any English.
Interviewer: What do you do for fun after class?
Owen: I hang out with my buddies at the beach. I play xbox with my friends. I play in the ocean. I watch movies. That's pretty much it.
Interviewer: What has been the best day of your trip so far?
Owen: One night when we played Beverly Hills Chihuahua outside on the projector and all my friends came.
